Shingleback Cabernet Sauvignon, McLaren Vale, 2003

McLaren Vale is an area renowned for it's climate, lifestyle and red wine. Select parcels of grapes from our family vineyard in the vale are the foundation of Shingleback wine, named after the lizards that live happily amongst the vines. My personal attention to viticulture and winemaking has crafted this ripe, deep red full-bodied wine. Traditional small batch open fermentation and gentle pressing were used to capture the powerful blackcurrant, blueberry and dark chocolate flavors that have been enhanced by generous maturation in fine grained French and American oak.
